FFN-Interview with Hans Van Nuffel, director of the movie "Oxygen"
Hans Van Nuffel (Belgium, 1981) graduated from the Brussels RITS film academy. His graduation project, the highly acclaimed short film Het einde van de rit (The End of the Ride), won him a prestigious 'Wildcard' from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund.
With this wildcard, he directed a second short, FAL (2007), a hard-boiled drama about a revengeful arms dealer, which won an award at the International Short Film Festival Leuven and the Jury Award at the 2008 Montréal World Film Festival. Hans continued to direct the stylish short Nachtraven (Nighthawks), a story on vampires and love. Hans is considered one of Flanders' most promising new talents.
During the past two years, he has been working on his feature film debut Oxygen.
