COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A world-renowned string quartet will carry out Thursday, November 17, at A&M United Methodist Church.
Viano String Quartet, winners of the 2019 Banff Worldwide String Quartet Competitors, is scheduled to carry out a free live performance, their first time ever within the Brazos Valley.
“We’ve got three items we’re getting ready,” member Hao Zhou stated. “The primary is a bit by (Joseph) Haydn, the daddy of the string quartet. Then we’ll transfer on to a very romantic piece by Schumann, then after intermission a bit by Tchaikovsky.”
The group was put collectively in 2015 by college for a music chamber class on the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, they’ve been taking part in collectively since.
The group carried out at a meet and greet Wednesday night in School Station.
“To have the ability to take our music on the street and share it around the globe is, it’s actually been a privilege and we couldn’t be happier about it,” Zhou stated.
