Thursday evening, driving snow couldn’t hold a sold-out theater’s price of group members from displaying up at The Dairy Heart for the Arts for the opening movie of the tenth Boulder Jewish Movie Pageant. The night began with a Gala Reception, the place the gang loved a light-weight repast catered by Blackbelly, music from Sheldon Sands, and everybody appeared very comfortable to be again in individual and shmoozing.
The opening movie was “Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Tune“ (2021), a stirring, soulful tribute to Cohen’s lifelong quest for fact and wonder, by which we view the commemorated singer-songwriter’s life and legacy via the prism of his internationally famend hymn.
Following the movie, Founding Movie Pageant Director Kathryn Bernheimer led a talkback with Rabbi Marc Soloway.
