ORONO, Maine – Senior Kira Kutzinski goaltender and senior Halle Rogers defender from the College of Maine ladies’s soccer program have been named to the 2022 Educational All-District Girls’s Soccer Group.
The 2022 Educational All-District Girls’s Soccer Groups, chosen by Faculty Sports activities Communicators, acknowledge the nation’s prime student-athletes for his or her mixed performances on the sphere and within the classroom. The CSC Educational All-America program individually acknowledges soccer honorees in 4 divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Educational All-District honorees advance to the CSC Educational All-America poll. First-, second- and third-team Educational All-America honorees will likely be introduced in early December. The CSC Educational All-District groups embrace the student-athletes listed on the next pages.
Kutzinski, after grabbing America East first crew honors earlier within the season, was named the America East Goalkeeper of the 12 months after posting a 0.75 targets towards common and 0.833 save share over her 15 common season appearances. The senior goalkeeper posted seven shut-outs and allowed solely 12 whole targets over her eight wins and 5 ties. For the week of October 17, Kutzinski was named AE defensive participant of the week.
Rogers, additionally named to the league’s first crew, earned the league’s Defensive Participant of the 12 months honors after anchoring a protection that allowed solely 12 targets over 15 whole video games. The senior defender recorded two targets and one help over her 1,307 minutes of sport play. For the week of October 3, Rogers was named AE defensive participant of the week.
On October 30, 2022, the Black Bears hosted and received their first America East playoff sport since 2015.
