Morten Harket has loads of new materials for one more solo album.

The a-ha frontman has a batch of songs penned about his “philosophical” musings on politics and will simply launch a follow-up to 2014’s ‘Brother’.

One other large theme is “love points”.

He informed Basic Pop journal: “I’ve plenty of songs.

“I may have put some on ‘True North’ [a-ha’s comeback album], however it wasn’t the place, when there was a lot materials already on the desk.”

He added: “I’ve began to write down extra lyrics alone, and really feel fairly completely satisfied about that.

“There is a political facet, however with a philosophical perspective.

There are love points: the dynamic between two individuals who grow to be conscious of one another in a crowded room, when you do not know one another, however all of a sudden you’re the solely two individuals conscious of one another.

I discover these mechanisms fascinating. “

The 63-year-old Norweigen singer admits his solo tunes are solely completely different from the stuff he, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy make within the ‘Take On Me’ group.

He added: “My songs are a little bit completely different to a-ha. The spirit of a-ha is a communal effort, so none of our songs on our personal sound the identical.

“However it’s as much as others to say how these new songs will differ from a-ha.”
