Pete Davidson’s upcoming episode of Saturday Evening Dwell has been cancelled because of the strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA).
The comic was set to return to SNL this weekend (Could 6) after leaving the present final 12 months, with musical visitor Lil Uzi Vert.

NBC has since introduced it is going to air repeats owing to the strike. In an announcement (by way of Selection), the community mentioned: “SNL will air repeat till additional discover beginning Saturday, Could 6.”
It’s unclear whether or not any new episodes will air within the forty eighth season, with the present normally on summer season hiatus after Could.

Talking on The Tonight Present earlier this week, Davidson joked about the opportunity of SNL being cancelled. “It sucks as a result of it simply feeds my bizarre story I’ve in my head. Like ‘in fact that will occur to me. They didn’t need me to [host] – it’s all about me!’ But when it occurs, I’m tremendous excited.”
Davidson is selling his new sequence Bupkis, which is described as a “heightened, fictionalised model” of the comic’s actual life. Within the sequence, Davidson performs himself reverse Edie Falco as his mom, whereas Joe Pesci performs his grandfather.
“The sequence combines grounded storytelling with absurd parts from the unfiltered and fully unique worldview for which Pete is well-known,” a synopsis reads.
Bupkis is launched on Peacock on Could 4, 2023.
