COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) – An annual filmmaking contest for South Carolina highschool college students has opened submissions for the 2023 contest.
The Younger Movie Makers Undertaking is open to all highschool college students within the state, together with public, non-public and residential college college students.
college students will likely be tasked with creating a brief movie, two minutes or much less, that tells a cinematic story whereas incorporating a artistic problem.
The 2023 artistic problem is using enjoying playing cards as a prop that matches into the story.
“Media manufacturing is rising in South Carolina, with our skilled crews engaged on giant movie and TV initiatives with the likes of Netflix, HBO, and extra,” South Carolina Movie Fee Director Matt Storm stated. “Younger Filmmakers is a strategy to give college students a platform to develop and exhibit their abilities and expose them to profession alternatives on this discipline.”
Movies will likely be judged by an unbiased panel of judges on standards together with script high quality and story, manufacturing worth, design and elegance and general affect.
The highest 10 movies will likely be screened at a later awards ceremony with first place receiving $500, second place $300 and third place$200.
