BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech males’s and ladies’s cross nation groups set to host their last dwelling meet of the season on the Buford Meredith Cross Nation Course in Blacksburg, Va. on Friday, Nov. 4. The Hokie Open will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the boys’s 6k, adopted by the ladies’s 4k at 4:45 p.m.

Virginia Tech final compete on the ACC Championships on Oct. 28 in Charlottesville, Va. ending eighth in each the boys’s and ladies’s races. Antonio Lopez Segura earned All-ACC honors ending eleventh within the males’s 8k with a time of 23:19.0.  Within the ladies’s 6k, Lindsey Butler, Cheyenne Leatham, and Ava Hassebrock ran a detailed race with one another ending inside the high 40. Butler (26) clocked in first for the Hokies with a time 20:22.8. Leatham adopted intently behind in thirty sixth place with a time of 20:32.2, Hassebrock completed thirty ninth (20:36.6). 

The Hokies will subsequent compete on the Southeast Regional on Nov. 11 in Louisville, Ky. The lads’s staff is at present ranked ninth within the area by the U.S. Monitor and Area and Cross Nation Coaches Affiliation, ladies’s staff is ranked tenth.
