Williamsport Music Membership continues its theme of Sacred music for the month of January. It started the month by internet hosting a group Messiah Sing-Alongside, performed by Kent Weaver, and continued with a hymn sing at Heritage Springs Reminiscence Look after the residents there. We’ll conclude with our program of “Harmonized Gratitude for Sacred Music” to be introduced at Faxon-Kenmar UMC, 1301 Clayton Ave., Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. This program is free and open to the general public.

This system chair is WMC President Katharine Cimini. Greeters for the night are Greta Elliott and Trish Whelan. The Tune of the Month can be introduced by Charles Getchell and Scott Schell. All in attendance will sing “Hymn For the Nations,” music by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Remembrances of previous members can be shared by Lois Williams for Jessica Heath and Leatha Kieser for Camille Crane.

This system will proceed with David Koskey, piano, and Rob Wozniak, drums, taking part in “Since I Have Been Redeemed,” a Mark Hayes association.

Scott Schell will sing and play guitar on unique track “To Every little thing… A Season.”

Nick Biddle, tenor, will sing a Joseph Martin association of “It’s Nicely with My Soul.”

Visitor performers Kindred Spirits will play and sing a bluegrass association of “Shall We Collect on the River” by Robert Lowry.

A small ensemble will sing “Pacem: Conventional Latin” by Lee Dengler, with a Susan Phillips solo. “Ave Maria” can be carried out by Ryan Workman, tenor; Thomas Wetzel, piano; and Ashley Tobin, violin.

We’ll then hear a piano solo performed by Thomas Wetzel titled “Portrait of Grace.”

Lara DeNune, soprano, and Rebecca DeNune, piano will carry out “The Blessing” by Jobe, Carnes, Brown and Furtick.

Wayne Harris, tenor, will sing “The King is Coming,” accompanied by David Koskey. David will then carry out organ piece “Paraphrase on Ode to Pleasure” arr. by Hegerty.

“The Prayer” by Foster, Sager and Testa can be carried out by Ryan Workman, tenor; Susan Phillips, soprano; and David Koskey, piano.

A WMC vocal ensemble will sing the Gaither traditional “As a result of He Lives,” and this system will conclude with Wayne Harris, tenor, singing “The Holy Metropolis,” with David Koskey accompanying on piano.

A postlude, “He Retains Me Singing” by Stan Pethel, can be performed by Koskey and Wozniak.
