Ryan Gosling stars as an unnamed getaway driver who falls for his neighbor Irene, played by Mulligan, who’s stuck in an unhappy relationship with her convicted boyfriend Standard, played by Isaac. When Standard is released from prison, he and the Driver get wrapped up in a botched heist that puts everyone’s lives in danger.
Isaac and Mulligan’s relationship isn’t the main focus of the movie, but their performances and their chemistry together are great nonetheless.
