Billie Eilish praised Beyonce and Taylor Swift in a quote that has resurfaced as some online believe that she criticized her pop peers.
During a recent appearance on Stationhead, the 22-year-old Hit Me Hard and Soft artist spoke critically of three-hour-long concerts, dubbing them “literally psychotic.”
“Nobody wants that. You guys don’t want that. I don’t want that. I don’t even want that as a fan,” Billie opined. “My favorite artist in the world, I’m not trying to hear them for three hours.”
She ultimately deemed a show at that length as “far too long.”
A few people on social media thought that she was throwing shade at Taylor and Beyonce, who have both embarked upon lengthy tours in the last year.
However, in an interview from October 2023, Billie lavished praise on the women over their impressive stage presence.

“I find it really hard to play stadiums,” Billie told the Los Angeles Times, adding, “Beyoncé and Taylor [Swift] are untouchable superstars; the fact that they can put on a show that long, and it’s filled with so many incredible moments, is really amazing.”
Clearly, there’s no bad blood there. Interestingly, this is the second time that one of Billie‘s quotes have been taken out of context in recent weeks.
