Bulls finally may have found perfect trade partner for superstar guard

The Chicago Bulls may have finally found an eager suitor for Zach LaVine.

According to a report published by Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer on Friday, the Sacramento Kings have emerged as the most likely team to trade for LaVine.

Though it was revealed in recent days that Sacramento has been asking Chicago about a package of both LaVine and Alex Caruso, Fischer reported on Friday that the Bulls were never interested in deals for Caruso that also included LaVine. “Chicago refused to include Caruso in deals that would have offloaded Zach LaVine,” Fischer said.

With Caruso now off the market, Chicago has presumably focused most of its management resources on trading LaVine, a project that has been ongoing for the better part of a year, according to Fischer.

“The Bulls have attempted to find a new home for LaVine since last offseason, according to league sources, but have yet to develop signification traction on deals outside of talks with Detroit that once included Bojan Bogdanović,” Fischer said.

Chicago may have now found the suitor it’s been seeking, as Sacramento is reportedly still interested in LaVine.

“If there’s any suitor for LaVine that seems most likely at this juncture, it would be the Kings,” Fischer said. “Sacramento remains active in exploring trade opportunities for Harrison Barnes and Kevin Huerter, league sources told Yahoo Sports, with Huerter receiving a healthy amount of external interest.”

Chicago would be wise to seek draft compensation in its discussions with Sacramento about LaVine, especially as the Bulls failed to acquire any picks from the Oklahoma City Thunder as part of the Caruso-Josh Giddey trade.
