Gypsy Rose Blanchard Gets ‘Authentic Waffle House Experience’ In New Video

It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but there was yet another fight at a Waffle House, and ex-convict Gypsy Rose Blanchard was there to witness it.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, 32, had an interesting morning at Waffle House. While trying to enjoy her breakfast, she saw an altercation and caught the entire thing on video.

The ex-convict, who spent the last eight and a half years behind bars for her involvement in her mother’s murder, is now getting accustomed to everyday life and experiencing everything she missed out on during her childhood — including getting the “authentic Waffle House experience.”

Experiencing The ‘Authentic’ Waffle House Experience

On Wednesday, Gypsy Rose Blanchard shared a video on TikTok, which almost immediately gained traction among her followers. In the video, the ex-convict can be seen sitting in a booth at the popular chain restaurant, filming the people behind her as an altercation broke out (surprise, surprise…)

For anyone unfamiliar with this phenomenon, the mostly southern chain — with 1,900 locations in 25 states — has quite the reputation. A simple Google search will flood your computer with videos and stories showing customers and employees fighting about who knows what…

“Crazy morning. Being rude is never acceptable. It just makes everyone uncomfortable,” Gypsy captioned the video, seemingly not realizing that this is a regular thing at the Waffle House.

“Nah, this is just the Waffle House experience no matter where you go. The ruder they are the better the food,” a third joked.

Who Is Gypsy Rose Blanchard?

As The Blast reported, Gypsy is believed to be a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, as her mom convinced doctors that her daughter had several diseases and disorders that she never actually suffered from. Some of these led to Gypsy taking unnecessary medications and undergoing surgeries she did not need.

She felt the only way out was to murder her mom, and so she and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, conspired and carried out the plan in 2015.

Gypsy Rose Wants To Be An Advocate

MEGA

Now that her story is out there, Gypsy Rose Blanchard said she wants to use her fame to raise awareness and advocate for Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

“Ever since my case was all over the media, all over the news, people have been on this journey with me, and I think that I’ve outgrown this prison version of myself that I think a lot of people have come to associate me with,” she says in “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard,” per The Hollywood Reporter.

The ex-convict also had some advice for anyone else going through abuse. “The advice that I would give is: Please tell someone. Even if you don’t think they will believe you. It doesn’t have to be someone close,” she told A&E. “However, if there is just someone that you trust, even a little bit, tell someone and really know that you’re not alone. There will be people that can help you out.”

Starting A New Chapter

In addition to becoming an advocate, Gypsy Rose Blanchard wants to focus on herself and the next chapter in her life.

“I’m about to head into a new chapter in my life, a new look, a new me, new style, new everything,” the ex-convict told the outlet. “So I think that showing people and taking them on that journey with me was important for me because you get little bits and pieces of what my life has been like in the last five months from articles online, TikTok videos, social media, little bits here and there. But no one gets to actually be in the room with me except for my family.”

“So having the cameras follow me basically on a daily basis shows the events that people were hearing about all this time, but they don’t know what all was said. This definitely brings the viewers along in a very intimate way. And for me that was important to show, no, this is who I am,” she concluded.
