Jax Taylor is opening up about the parameters of his separation with wife Brittany Cartwright.
The 44-year-old The Valley reality star was recently spotted out to lunch with model Paige Woolen and has denied that the two are dating.
During the latest episode of Jax and Brittany‘s podcast, When Reality Hits, he revealed that they are open to dating other people while they continue to figure out the future of their relationship.

“I am not — I repeat not — dating anybody. I was seen out with someone and it was strictly lunch. Obviously, Brittany and I are separated and have been for a long time,” Jax said on the podcast, addressing the recent outing with Paige. “What we are going through right now is tough. Marriage is not easy.”
“We are trying to figure out a lot of different things: therapy, separation, and maybe, possibly, dating other people,” he continued. “We are trying to exhaust everything before we have to go down the divorce road — if that would be the case.”
He continues to say that they are both in agreement on being able to date other people, and talked about the rules and understanding they have for the situation.
“Part of taking some time apart means exploring other people. All marriages are different, but this is what is good for our marriage,” Jax shares. “This is something we talked about and we are on the same page. We have a couple of rules with it, but this is what we are exploring.”
“That is not to say Brittany isn’t doing what she’s doing. I know it’s not out there what she is doing, but she’s doing her own thing, too,” he adds.
Jax then clarifies, once again, that he is not currently dating anyone.
“I am not dating anybody — nor do I plan on dating anybody,” he says. “I don’t know if I am ready to start the dating thing again. I don’t think I am. We are just hanging out right now with whoever. I know Brittany is probably doing her own thing too. We are in agreement about it.”
If you recall, Jax and Brittany announced their separation back in February, just before the premiere of their new show The Valley.
The Bravo series, which has been renewed for a second season, will air it’s season one finale THIS upcoming Wednesday (June 5), with the extended and uncensored version on Peacock the next day.
