BJ Thompson is recovering from a health emergency.
The 25-year-old Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman reportedly suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest during a meeting at the Chiefs facility on Thursday morning (June 6) in Kansas City, Mo.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, a source told the reporter that he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, where he is reportedly in stable condition.

“Kansas City’s medical staff worked quickly before an ambulance was called, and Thompson is currently in stable condition,” NFL.com reports.
The Chiefs have cancelled all team activities scheduled for the day. Media availability for head coach Andy Reid and select players has been re-scheduled for Friday (June 7).
BJ is a 2023 fifth-round pick, and had appeared in one game during his rookie season. Mandatory minicamp is scheduled to begin on Tuesday (June 11). We are wishing the best to BJ Thompson in his recovery.
