1. DENNY HAMLIN

A fifth place finish gave Hamlin the point lead on a night in Charlotte that also saw him collect 13 stage points. Although he didn’t lead a lap, Hamlin was a constant presence near the front of the field to continue his strong season.

2. WILLIAM BYRON

A spin in practice did not deter Byron and his fast race car in Charlotte. He started outside the front row and had the lead for 49 laps before sliding back a touch to be credited with a third-place finish.

Last Week: 3rd

3. KYLE LARSON

Mother Nature literally was a wet blanket for Larson’s Indy-Charlotte doubleheader plans on Sunday. He missed racing in Charlotte when the race was called before he could climb into the No. 5 car and Larson lost the point lead as a by product.

4. BRAD KESELOWSKI

The Roush Fenway Keselowski No. 6 car has been in contention a lot in recent weeks and Keselowski was in the mix to win at Charlotte after his Darlington victory two weeks prior. A runner-up finish for Keselowski was the fourth time he’s been in the top-two over the last seven races.

5. CHASE ELLIOTT

A seventh-place finish for Elliott at Charlotte was the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s seventh top-10 performance of the season as he has been a model of consistency most of 2024.
