Lilly King is heading to the Olympics and she’ll be going there with a fiance!
The 27-year-old American swimmer got engaged to boyfriend James Wells right after competing in the 200-meter breaststroke at the Olympic Trials on Thursday (June 20) in Indianapolis, Ind.
Lilly came in second place behind Kate Douglass and she qualified to compete in the Olympics. It’s her second event to qualify for!
After the match, James popped the question to Lilly!

“Getting to watch you over the last four years, both in and out of the pool, and just to see you grow has been so awesome,” James said.
He added, “I don’t regret for a minute dropping my job and moving halfway across the country for us to move in together. It has been awesome and I am very excited to see where this is going, so, dear, I was wondering, Lilly Camille King, will you marry me?”
