GRILL FUEL SOURCES

CHARCOAL

ELECTRIC

GAS

WOOD

With grills firing up all across the country for summer afternoons, this is the first of the quite apt categories for today. WOOD was a little harder because other words could be used in similar contexts, but we got there in the end and it being specifically grill-related makes sense.

GUM

This one was the last category we solved today, even though we recognized that there had to be a tree or wood category based on all of these words. However, it wasn’t until CHESTNUT was removed from the equation that we were able to get the category all the way correct, as it certainly seemed to belong with the rest of the trees. Luckily, we managed to salvage this puzzle regardless.

PUMP

A hot tub is a great way to relax on a breezy summer evening, and for us, this was easier than coming up with words for Old Saying. Perhaps that is our personal experience serving as Grandpa’s pool assistant, but at least that experience came in handy for solving a puzzle even if we never own a pool again! Thank you Grandpa for trying to teach us how to run a pump room.
