The UFC lost out on a fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler at UFC 303 because of an injury to McGregor. What it gained was a clash of two intimating warriors on Saturday, June 29. Alex Pereira defends the UFC light heavyweight title in a rematch against Jiri Prochazka.
Ending International Fight Week, which includes the UFC Hall of Fame, UFC 303 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas airs on ESPN+ PPV in the U.S.
Pereira is a former UFC middleweight champion. The two fought at UFC 295, with Pereira landing 38 significant strikes and Prochazka landing 30 and one takedown. The former won the title in the second round, winning the UFC light heavyweight title and becoming the fastest fighter to win titles in two divisions (736 days/7 fights).
Both last fought two months ago, with Pereria knocking out Jamahal Hill and Prochazka, a former RIZIN and UFC light heavyweight champion, decimating Aleksandar Rakic. Now, both once again fight over light heavyweight gold.

The card is stacked, with talent including Brian Ortega, Ian Machado Garry, former Bellator star Michael “Venom” Page, Cub Swanson, Michelle Waterson-Gomez, and former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski.
