Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Ahsoka episode 7Ahsoka is headed for its finale episode with a collection of storylines that will hopefully be resolved for the show and the Star Wars galaxy at large. Starring Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), the Jedi and her apprentice Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) have been trying to prevent the return of exiled Imperial leader Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) while also trying to bring back Jedi Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), both of who became trapped on the same planet located in another galaxy. To that end, there are several plot lines in need of resolution.

Following the events of Ahsoka episode 7, the entire main cast of characters has made their way to the extragalactic world of Peridea save for Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who’s trying to convince the New Republic of Thrawn’s return. In the meantime, Ahsoka and Sabine have reunited with Ezra while Thrawn prepares to make his leave with Nightsisters Morgan Elsbeth and the Great Mothers. At the same time, Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) has abandoned his apprentice Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) in search of a greater power on Peridea. Keeping that in mind, here’s all the storylines that will hopefully be resolved in Ahsoka’s final episode along with some predictions.

11 What Baylan Skoll Is Really After

One of Ahsoka’s biggest questions following the debut of Peridea is what kind of power Baylan Skoll is searching for on this new world. Wanting to break the known galaxy’s ongoing cycle conflict between the light and dark, Baylan believes he will find the means to do so somewhere in the ruins of the Dathomiri’s former witch kingdom. Furthermore, he believes that the Great Mothers are actively feeling this mysterious power as well. This can’t bode well for Ahsoka and her allies, nor perhaps Baylan himself if this power proves itself to be too great for Skoll to handle (a very likely possibility).

10 Why The Great Mothers Are Working For Grand Admiral Thrawn

Despite their clear power and magick as a trio of powerful Nightsisters, The Great Mothers display a surprising amount of subservience to Grand Admiral Thrawn himself. They even refer to him as their lord. While it hasn’t yet been fully revealed as to why he holds such authority over them, they have claimed that the “Thread of Destiny” demands their service. This is likely due to the fact that they want off Peridea as well, and Thrawn is similarly their best and likely only chance at doing do.

9 What Was In Grand Admiral Thrawn’s Crates

It’s also possible that Thrawn’s authority over the Great Mothers comes from a mutual agreement. One of Ahsoka’s biggest mysteries is what exactly is within the legions of creates which Thrawn’s forces have been loading onto his Star Destroyer known as The Chimaera. Seeing as how they were being held in the catacombs of the Great Mothers’ temple, it stands to reason that these crates contain bodies. This could prove to be very dangerous given the Nightsisters’ ability to resurrect warriors as the undead. Whether they’re the bodies of fallen Nightsisters, Thrawn’s forces, or both, Thrawn commanding an undead army carries some very dark potential.

8 Thrawn’s Full Plan & Escape From Peridea

Although Thrawn is indeed planning to leave Peridea aboard The Chimaera after docking with Morgan Elsbeth’s hyperspace ring, it’s still unclear what he plans to do before he makes his exit for the known Star Wars galaxy. Ahsoka episode 7 implies that Thrawn’s focus lies purely with making his escape, not caring if his enemies are destroyed or simply stranded so long as he can still leave. However, the full extent of his plans remain a mystery, especially following his concerns about Baylan Skoll having gone rogue with his own agenda.

7 Sabine Wren’s Training Under Ahsoka Tano

While Sabine and Ahoska have reunited in this new Star Wars show to continue Wren’s training, some more details are needed about when their training first began. Although it’s been revealed that they had a fallout following the Purge of Mandalore and the death of Sabine’s family, there’s clearly more to the story that needs to be uncovered. As such, it would be good for Ahsoka and Sabine to continue their reconciliation in some fashion by talking about their past, especially now that they’re back together on Peridea and Sabine has seemingly connected with the Force.

6 The New Republic’s Reluctance To Believe Thrawn & The Empire Are Coming Back

Although the primary conflict may be happening on Peridea, Hera Syndulla is facing her own struggles with the New Republic on Coruscant. Many of its members don’t believe in Thrawn’s return or the Imperial Remnant, so much so that she was nearly stripped of her rank for defying orders which saw her saving Ahsoka and helping her get to Peridea as seen in previous episodes. As a result, it does seem as though the only way the New Republic will take Thrawn’s return seriously is for Thrawn himself to actually return. Of course, it will then be too late to prevent the threat of a new war.

5 Leia Organa’s Role In Hera Syndulla’s Story

Having sent C-3PO to vouch for Hera, it looks as though Senator Leia Organa has given Syndulla her full support as head of the New Republic’s Defense Council. As such, this falls in line with Leia’s role in the sequels as general or the Resistance which was secretly supported by the New Republic in lieu of having an official military. However, Hera’s future is still unclear up to a point, seeing as how she wasn’t involved with the Resistance apart from presumably answering Lando Calrissian’s call as The Ghost briefly appeared joining the Battle of Exegol in The Rise of Skywalker.

4 Ahsoka’s Staff and Full Gandalf Transformation

As Ahsoka has progressed, the Jedi has indeed gotten closer to her full evolution as she was seen at the end of Star Wars Rebels, wearing all white while wielding a mysterious staff. This version of Ahsoka has long been referred to by Lucasfilm’s Dave FIloni as “Ahsoka the White” mirroring The Lord of the Rings’ Gandalf and his own transformation. Having been metaphorically reborn and now wearing white following the events of Ahsoka episode 5 and her Force vision with Anakin’s spirit, Ahsoka is clearly following suit though she doesn’t yet have her staff. It’s possible that it could soon be found as a relic of Peridea.

3 Thrawn’s Plans For The Imperial Remnant

When and if Thrawn makes his likely return to the known Star Wars galaxy, it will be interesting to see what he has planned for the Imperial Remnant. Although his return was promised to the leaders of the Imperial Shadow Council in The Mandalorian season 3, perhaps not everyone sees Thrawn as “Heir to the Empire”. Likewise, it’s still not exactly clear how Thrawn intends to restore the Empire’s might, though an ongoing alliance with the Nightsisters and their magick would certainly provide a significant increase in supernatural power.

2 Shin Hati’s Possible Redemption

As seen in Ahsoka episode 7, Baylan chose to go off on his own, leaving his apprentice Shin to follow her ambitions and lead Thrawn’s forces. However, Ahsoka still offered Shin the chance at redemption, believing that the Dark Jedi apprentice could leave the dark and embrace the light. Now that her master has left her, it does seem possible that Shin could indeed be redeemed in the final episode of Ahsoka.

1 Anakin Skywalker’s Full Force Ghost

With his spirit having been featured in Ahsoka’s vision as well as in a recorded training hologram, the presence of Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker has certainly been felt in the new Star Wars show. However, there potentially still room for his actual Force ghost to appear, something that’s long been hoped for by Star Wars fans and could still happen to help close out Ahsoka’s final episode. He’s certainly been one of the most exciting and momentous parts of the show overall.

Ahsoka releases new episodes Tuesdays at 6pm PST / 9pm EST on Disney+.
