Police say three employees at a waste disposal and recycling firm in southern Germany have died, apparently drowning in a drainage system

BERLIN — Three employees at a waste disposal and recycling firm in southern Germany died on Tuesday apparently drowning in a drainage system, police stated.

The accident occurred on the firm’s premises within the Weyarn municipality, southeast of Munich, on Tuesday morning, Bavarian police stated in a press release.

One of many males was working in a water-filled drain, and two colleagues who had misplaced contact with him climbed in to assist him. There was no additional signal of life from the three.

Firefighters and rescuers have been known as to the scene. Divers have been unable to find the three lacking males instantly due to excessive water. Their our bodies have been recovered solely when the water degree was lowered by “technical means,” police stated.

The three males have been aged 20, 27 and 28 and lived within the area.

Police have been working to find out how the accident occurred.
