As she graced the carpet of the star-studded Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic special, Kloots spoke about the prospect of a new era in her life with ET Online.

Diving into the topic, she was asked about the upcoming chapter in her life, prompting Kloots to humorously draw parallels to pop sensation Taylor Swift and her thriving romance with NFL player Travis Kelce.

In a light-hearted exchange, the fitness instructor teased, “Oh, this is like my Taylor Swift Era? I don’t know, is it… I don’t know — tall dark and handsome era?” The interviewer, playing along, suggested she might be seeking her own “Travis Kelce,” referring to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end known for his athleticism and good looks.

With a playful nod to this new phase in her life, Kloots dubbed it her “Travis Kelce era,” a time when she is open to finding love again.  With her enthusiasm shining through, she noted, “Yeah, it’s my Travis Kelce era,” before asking the interviewer if he could play the role of matchmaker in her journey.

However, despite her genuine and honest approach to dating, the 41-year-old faced criticism for exploring romantic connections after acknowledging she had gone on several dates.

While navigating single parenthood with a three-year-old, Kloots had initially refrained from romantic involvement. But her choice to try again came with its own challenges, as she shared during a conversation with Cheryl Burke on “Diving Deep.”

When asked about the transition, the “Fit for Christmas” actress expressed her initial hesitations, revealing that she cautiously tested the waters, opting for dates with other widowers.  She noted that the strategic choice “helped immediately to break down the discomfort of ‘I’m coming in with a lot of emotional baggage.’ You don’t have to explain yourself.”

Addressing the criticism surrounding her decision to date again relatively soon after Cordero’s passing, the mother-of-one noted that she immediately took a proactive stance.

She swiftly quashed any judgment, stating, “You know the criticism that came from ‘Amanda Kloots is dating not even a year after Nick has died’? Well, I nipped it in the bud, and I was like, ‘absolutely not.’”

Kloots then went further by hosting live and honest Instagram interviews with fellow widows to put “a face to what people were calling a horrible thing.”
