Former ‘All That’ star Angelique Bates has accused Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider of bullying, instigating, and verbal abuse, and now she says a producer made s-xual advances towards her mother.
The 43-year-old spoke exclusively with The Blast, telling us some of the incidents she experienced when working with the network as a child.

When speaking to The Blast, the former child actress recalled “a few cases of bullying and instigating that production was aware of.”
“Especially when it would come to one cast member,” she exclusively told The Blast without naming names. “A situation occurred, amongst a few, and when I defended myself, instead of the other cast member getting in trouble, I was brought in with my mother and threatened to be fired in a production meeting.”
“My mother defended me in that situation and called production out for a few things, including not stopping the situation, especially being it was ongoing,” she continued, “Of course they weren’t pleased.”

Angelique Bates starred in ‘All That’ for two seasons, but ultimately left after her roles began to “minimize.”
“It became so noticeable that sometimes me & another cast member would play a game of ‘Where’s Angelique?’ to see how many lines I had, if any. Like ‘Where’s Waldo?’” she told us.
Bates was the first original cast member to leave the series.
Mrs. Bates previously told The Blast of when Nickelodeon retaliated after an incident involving Dan Schneider and other cast members, which resulted in him screaming at the ‘All That’ alum.

She further explained that the retaliation was not a one-time thing.
“There were a few things that played into the retaliation from production as I’ve mentioned throughout the years,” she told us, “And another one I’ve always mentioned was because my mother turned down s-xual advances from one of the producers.”
Although she didn’t go into detail, this was obviously a hard subject for her to discuss. When speaking to us about the matter, it seemed as though she was using caution when mentioning any detail surrounding the incident with her mother.
She also chose not to name the producer. While some may think the advances could have been made by Brian Peck, who was accused of s-xual assault by Drake Bell, Mrs. Bates says she does not ever remember working with Peck.
Did Angelique Bates Experience Or Witness Racism From Nickelodeon?

Other ‘All That’ actors have spoken out, accusing the network of racism, however, Angelique Bates says she never experienced or witnessed racism from any of the producers.
“I’m not sure where that is coming from because Nickelodeon created a lot of minority-based shows like ‘Gullah Gullah Island’, ‘Taina’, ‘Kenan & Kel’, ‘My Brother and Me’, ‘Romeo’, ‘Little Bill’, ‘The Mystery Files Of Shelby Woo’, ‘Just Jordan’, ‘Cousin Skeeter’, ‘That Girl Lay Lay’, and others,” she told us. “Top minority creators Maria Perez Brown, Fracaswell Hyman, and the late David Arnold were employed by Nickelodeon. Vice-President Shelly Sumpter of Nickelodeon is a minority.”
Plus, the theme song of ‘All That’ was sung by TLC “and 99% of our musical guests were minorities on our pilot and Season 1 & 2,” she added, “And our cast was over half minority. Even on the ‘Kenan & Kel’ show, the late Coolio did the theme song.”
No One Has Reached Out To Her Following ‘Quiet On Set’
Schneider was known for his work on shows such as ‘All That’, ‘Zoey 101’, ‘Kenan & Kel’, ”iCarly’, ‘Victorious’, ‘Drake & Josh’, and ‘Sam & Cat’, among others. He and Nickelodeon parted ways in 2018 after accusations of verbal abuse, creating a toxic work environment, racism, and favoritism came out against the former producer, however, that was not confirmed to be the reason for the split.
Following the ‘Quiet On Set’ docuseries, which is now streaming on MAX, the former Nickelodeon producer spoke out about some of the claims made. “Watching over the past two nights was very difficult,” he said of the bombshell docuseries. “Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret, I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”
“I wish I could go back, especially to those earlier years of my career, and bring the growth and the experience that I have now and just do a better job and never, ever feel like it was okay to be an a–hole to anyone, ever,” he added.
While Dan Schneider has issued a public apology, Angelique Bates says Nickelodeon nor Dan Schneider have attempted to reach out since the documentary was released.
