‘Bachelor’ Alum Explains Why She’ll Never Do Reality TV Again

“The Bachelor” alum Susie Evans is speaking out, revealing why she will never do reality television again.

Will ‘Bachelor’ Star Susie Evans Ever Do Reality TV Again?

Susie Evans first hit viewers’ screens when appearing on the ABC franchise “The Bachelor.” Though the ending was extremely controversial, Evans ended up with the lead, Clayton Echard. The two eventually called it quits, although they do keep in touch every now and again.

Now, the reality television show is opening up, admitting if she would ever do a reality television show again.

Evans recently held a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories, where fans asked some juicy questions — one of which asked if she would return to reality television. Unfortunately for those who loved seeing Evans on their screens, it seems she will not be returning to reality due to her mental health.

“I’ve recently decided I’m not made for reality TV,” she wrote on her Stories. “I used to think reality TV would be better than scripted because you can just be you.”

Evans added, “But I’ve since learned that I care too much about people’s feelings to ever do anything THAT interesting. I try not to speak poorly about others and love group harmony. None of that makes for great reality TV. So to answer your question, obviously yes, I’m an attention whore.”

However, the former “Bachelor” star then added, “Or cast me as a villain in a scripted show. That sounds more fun than being ripped apart for who I am.”

Susie Evans and Clayton Echard announced their split weeks after the “Bachelor” finale aired in an Instagram post, which was shared on both Evans’ and Echard’s Instagram accounts.

“With incredibly heavy hearts, we wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways. For anyone who has ever loved, knows this was a painful decision to make and not one taken lightly,” the two wrote on social media. “We understand that there will likely be a lot of questions about this decision — social media is definitely a highlight reel and much of our experiences together we have kept private as I’m sure most can understand.”

They added, “But we will share this — although this last year together has brought us so much joy and so many laughs, there has also been a significant amount of pain. We know no healthy relationship comes without its struggles, but we’ve realized that we were not prepared for the external forces that hindered our ability not only to heal as individuals but also as a couple. We both are focused on continuing to work on ourselves to be the best version of ourselves.”

The Blast previously reported that in an interview with The Virginian-Pilot, Clayton Echard opened up about his controversial season of the ABC reality show, claiming that he was portrayed poorly on “The Bachelor” season 26.

‘Watching [my season] back, I was embarrassed and disgusted by my actions and the way I was portrayed or seen on TV,” he said before adding, “Ultimately, I had to live with the fact that my narrative is what was shown. And that was hard because that’s not really who I am.” “I do not feel that what I was on the show is who I truly am, but I did those things. I became that person.”
