It’s not often that we see a gaming laptop that’s so cheap, especially when it’s coming with an RTX 3050 when usually these price ranges tend to have a GTX 1650 or equivalent. While the RTX 3050 isn’t powerful, it’s more than enough to get basic gaming done, especially with the big free-to-play games that are well-optimized for lower-end specs. You also get a mid-range i5-13420H, 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of storage, all of which are excellent for the price tag.

This model is $88 off at Amazon and features GeForce RTX 3050Ti graphics alongside a 12th-gen Core i5-12500H CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. The 15.6-inch display has full HD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Lenovo
The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is as close as you can get to a mid-range laptop without spending the same sort of money. It comes with an RTX 4060, an AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS, and 16GB of DDR5 RAM giving you solid gaming performance, general day-to-day use and productivity. The 16-inch 1920×1200 resolution screen won’t push the GPU too hard, and it will more easily hit the 144Hz refresh rate.
Gigabyte
This Acer Predator model is based on a high-resolution 16-inch display and RTX 4060 graphics. The display offers a WQXGA resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate and an impressive 500nits of peak brightness, making it the perfect middle-ground in terms of display quality. Along with that, you get the mid-to-high-end Intel i7-13700HX, which is perfect for gaming and productivity, while the 16GB of DDR5 RAM will give you a smooth day-to-day experience.
Dell
You get a slightly more powerful gaming performance with the RTX 4070 that will let you play more recent games at higher graphical settings. The 16-inch QHD+ 165Hz gives you some leeway in what you want to prioritize, and the Intel Core i713700HX gives excellent mid-to-high-end processing performance. You’ll also be happy with the 1TB of storage.
Dell
If you’re looking for a great mid-to-high-end gaming laptop at a good price, this configuration of the G16 is perfect. It comes with the RTX 3070 Ti, which can easily handle the 16-inch 2560×1600 resolution, potentially at the 165Hz refresh rate, assuming a couple of graphical compromises. As for the processor, you get the Intel Core i9-12900H, which is one of the best in the market and gives this laptop a lot of versatility. You also get a massive 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of storage space.
Razer/CNET
Razer is known for its high-end gaming laptops, and this configuration of the Razer Blade 15 is no different. It runs an RTX 3070 Ti under the hood, but more importantly, it has a QHD resolution and can hit an impressive 240Hz refresh rate. While the GPU might struggle to hit both those on the best graphical settings, it gives you the option to prioritize one over the other depending on what you play.
