Beyonce has officially announced that Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce is coming soon!
Just one day after rumors started swirling that Beyonce is preparing for a theatrical release of the film by partnering with AMC Theatres, just like Taylor Swift did for The Eras Tour concert film, the movie has officially been revealed.
Beyonce shared the trailer just minutes after wrapping the final show of the tour on Sunday night (October 1) in Kansas City, Missouri. The audience at the show was shown the trailer right after the concert ended.
The official synopsis says, “RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ accentuates the journey of RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri. It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”
While Taylor‘s concert movie is expected to be a capture of her show, it sounds like Beyonce‘s concert movie might feel like more of a documentary.
