Gillman is working on a new movie, “Carnival at the End of Days,” which is being co-written with performer, theater-maker, writer, and musician Christopher Brett Bailey.

When speaking on the premise, the movie director explained, “This is a simple tale of God wiping out humanity for fucking up his beautiful garden Earth.

“There’s only one character who’s trying to save humanity and that’s Satan, and Johnny Depp plays Satan,” he said, putting the suggestion out into the universe for Depp to hear.

Though the film is still at an early stage, Gilliam feels confident about working with the 60-year-old again.

The big-time movie director went on to explain the movie’s storyline:

“Because without humanity he’s lost his job and he’s an eternal character and so to live without a job is terrible. So he finds some young people and he tries to convince God that these young people are the new Adam and Eve. God still gets to wipe out humanity. It’s a comedy.”

Johnny Depp has yet to comment on if he will be involved in the upcoming movie.
