Caitlin Clark live stats: Iowa vs. Michigan score, updates, highlights from NCAA women’s basketball points record chase

Eight more points until history. In a matter of time, NCAA women’s basketball will have a new scoring leader.

Caitlin Clark will make history against Michigan when she scores her 3,528th career point to become the league’s all-time leader. For those who know Clark, which is just about everyone at this point, it’s no surprise the Iowa star is in this position.

This season, she averages 32.1 points a game and is just about impossible to defend. Only once in her Hawkeye career has Clark failed to reach double-digit points. That came during her freshman season when she recorded only eight against Northwestern. Never again.

Clark’s journey to take the title from Kelsey Plum is just one stop of many during her (possibly) final collegiate season. Don’t worry, there’s still plenty more of Clark to be watched and amazed by. The Hawkeyes have five more regular season games, including the Wolverines, before Big Ten and NCAA tournament time.

The Sporting News is tracking Iowa vs. Michigan women’s basketball, including updates and highlights from the game and Clark’s record chasing.
