Cocoa Brown Is A Proud Basketball Mom As She Cheers For Her Son’s Team

As Brown continues to recover from the heartbreaking loss of her home, she is ensuring her son gets all the support he needs. The proud mother dropped two videos of her little boy’s basketball match, capturing herself cheering for Phoenix and his team.

In the first post, the “Single Moms Club” star’s son wore a red No. 59 jersey over a gray short-sleeve top and black shorts. He completed the sporty look with black sneakers and his usual black-rimmed glasses.

Phoenix’s team, a mixed group of young boys and girls, played against similar opponents in blue jerseys. During the match, the entertainer’s son slipped, and she could be heard in the background, saying: “Uh-oh baby…shake it off babe, shake it off.”

The second video showed more of the young boy’s growing basketball skills and his mother’s loud cheers, proving they had significantly improved since the fire incident. Brown addressed their situation in the first post’s caption, writing:

“Life goes on! #momfirst #mommasboy💙 #basketballmom #myheart #stayingstrong #forhim.”

She continued her message in the second post’s caption, stressing that no matter the odds, she will always be her son’s number one supporter. In her words:

Weeks before flaunting her son’s basketball skills, Brown broke her silence on the terrifying fire that razed down her home in Fayetteville, Georgia. She addressed the situation in an Instagram post, describing it as the most heartbreaking thing she had ever faced.

In her message, Brown wrote: “I’d like to thank everyone who has been reaching out to me and my son during this devastating time. I apologize if I haven’t been answering calls, especially yesterday, but I lost my phone in the fire.”

The “For Better Or Worse” actress explained that she had been using a spare phone after the incident; however, the device crashed due to a lack of memory. She implored those who couldn’t communicate with her to be understanding given her plight, writing:

“So, if you were trying to reach me yesterday, my apologies. This is by far the most devastating thing that’s ever happened to me, at least with my parents; I knew it was coming.”
