Thriller C-drama White Cat Legend has released episode 7 on February 21, 2024. It follows the genres of mystery, fantasy, and adventure. The drama is an adaptation of the famous manhwa “Dali Si Rizhi.”
White Cat Legend is a period drama that takes place during the Tang Dynasty. It tells the story of Li Bing (Ding Yuxi). At a night banquet, the Empress recognizes his worth and gives him the responsibility to look after the Dali Temple as the Assistant Minister. Following his leadership, a group of temple members form an alliance to uphold justice in the kingdom. They work hard to solve crimes and bring peace to the common people.
In episode 7 of White Cat Legend, Chen Shi (Zhou Qi) and Li Bing arrive at the Court of Judicial Review. Li Bing offers Chen Shi a job at the court. Chen Shi is hesitant and mentions that he feels uneasy and anxious about staying in the court. Li Bing assures him by saying that he is the Vice President of the court and gives Chen Shi permission to stay there.
The next morning, Chen Shi makes some meat buns for Li Bing as a token of gratitude. Li Bing’s associates at the court find him quite intimidating. Rumors start to spread about his scary past. They discuss how almost everyone saw nightmares and had trouble sleeping after hearing those stories. Meanwhile, Li Bing arrives at the court.
White Cat Legend Ep 7: Ding Yuxi appoints Zhou Qi as his attendant
The associates bow down to him to show respect. Li Bing welcomes everyone and asks them to refrain from being formal. He introduces Chen Shi as his new attendant scribe. Meanwhile, Shangguan (Ren Min) arrives at the court. She is a headstrong individual. Shangguan says that every year during the Meng Chuan festival, the court holds examinations, and those who fail have to step down from their posts. She announces that instead of focusing on celebrations, they should concentrate on assessments.
Li Bing mentions that it was he who first proposed this idea and introduced the concept of merits and demerits. He says that every official, irrespective of their position, should take their job seriously. Li Bing proves to be a competent leader. He communicates with the members, listens to them, and evaluates their work. Soon enough, he develops a bond with his teammates. He even offers to let Chen Shi stay with the other members.
In episode 7 of White Cat Legend, Li Bing has a recurring nightmare. In his dream, he is sitting on the back of a horse. Two masked assassins chase him on snowy trails. When they are about to catch up to him, they are scared off by someone. Li Bing falls from his horse and sees a humanoid cat-like entity.
