Fans React As Heather Rae El Moussa Shades ‘Selling Sunset’ Snub

Heather Rae El Moussa is seemingly throwing shade at the “Selling Sunset” show’s producers for snubbing her in the latest season’s cast picture. Whatever the case may be, it is clear that her fans are also not happy about her exclusion either.

Fans React To Heather Rae El Moussa Throwing Shade

Thursday saw Netflix unveil the promotional picture on their official X account. The post featured two images that had the familiar faces Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani, Bre Tiesi, Mary Fitzgerald, and Nicole Young standing alongside Jason and Brett Oppenheim.

The reflection below showed the ladies with different expressions, seemingly pointing to drama between them. The caption also alluded to it, stating, “👀 do you spy drama in that reflection? 👀. Selling Sunset returns November 3!”

However, the new mom was conspicuously absent, leaving fans puzzled. In response, the blonde beauty clarified her shady departure with an equally cheeky note on her Instagram story. Sharing a photo from her glam room, the mother-of-one cryptically wrote:

“Selling Sunset Season 7, Looks like I got pushed in the water… It’s a good thing I can swim.”

In a sweet gesture, Bre Tiesi, who got closer to Heather in the last season, reposted the snap with her own caption. Showing her solidarity with the model, the reality TV star penned, “I would never push you in the water 😭. I love you so much @heatherraeelmoussa.”

Back on X, Netflix’s post quickly garnered attention from fans, who pointed out Heather’s absence from the season’s picture. “The erasure of my queen, Heather Rae Young El Moussa, will NOT stand!!!!!” one supporter angrily wrote, while another annoyed admirer pointed out that she was “the last real person on that show… UGHHHH.”

A third observed, “oh yall really kicked heather to the curb omg?” before quoting an article in which the actress had voiced her frustrations at not being called back to film on the new season. The poster added, “pls i thought she said they just stopped filming w her.”

Some people believed that her absence meant she would now appear on another popular reality TV show, the “Real Housewives Of Orange County.” “I’ve been saying it since she started popping up with HD, Heather Rae is going to end up as a cast member on RHOC,” one X user shared. Another, who agreed, emphatically stated that she be put “ON RHOC IMMEDIATELY.”

Meanwhile, others did not mind her absence and even went as far as to note that she was not necessary on the show, like this critic who called Heather “useless” and even advocated for the return of Christine Quinn and Maya Vander.

This commenter outrightly asked, “What did Heather even bring to the show… 💀,” while another Quinn supporter stated, “No one cares now that Christine is gone. I still don’t understand why they canceled #SellingTampa that show was everything.”

Known for her close bond with the “Love in the Time of Monsters” actress, Tiesi expressed her deep disappointment about the possibility of Heather’s diminished presence in the upcoming season.

Fans will recall that their connection at The Oppenheim Group extended beyond the cameras, making the news particularly heartbreaking for the mother-of-one. The Blast reported that Tiesi spoke about the situation with E! News, stating:

“I absolutely adore Heather. I’m very sad to hear that she is not going to be as big a part, But, honestly, I don’t know too much on it. They kinda keep us separate from all of that. But I am devastated to hear of that. We are really close.”

The 36-year-old’s future on the show had been intriguing, especially considering her packed schedule, from welcoming her first child to debuting a show on HGTV with her husband, Tarek El Moussa.

In March, “The Internship” star, who had filmed a few scenes before taking maternity leave, shared her thoughts as well:

“Season 7 is filming right now, but I’ve been off maternity leave, and I’ve been excited to get back to work, and so far, I have not been called back. It’s been a little frustrating. So [I’m] not sure what’s been going on.”

On the other hand, Brett Oppenheim had exclusively told E News!, “I think it’s TBD. I think, for now, she’s able to do both.” His twin brother Jason had also echoed the same sentiment.
