Shows in Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin have all been canceled, with several fans taking to social media to complain and wonder why Davidson made no announcement.
Davidson’s mysterious cancellations raise worries about his mental health issues. The actor just got out of rehab after revealing that he got addicted to a hallucinogenic, ketamine, over four years. Davidson also recently announced a new Netflix special for 2024, “Turbo Fonzarelli.”
Pete Davidson Cancels Multiple Comedy Shows

Davidson canceled several of his comedy shows that were scheduled to run into January. The cancellation began with Davidson’s absence from his performances at Beacon Theatre on Friday and Saturday.
A few hours before the start of his Friday date, the theater informed ticket holders via email that the comedian wouldn’t make it. They also promised full ticket reimbursement within the next 30 days for each canceled show.
According to a notice on Ticketmaster (per TMZ), Davidson had also canceled his shows in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Wisconsin. They were scheduled to run from December 26th until January 4th. The venues scheduled for these performances also informed ticket holders on their websites that they were canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

After the news of the show cancellations reached fans, many took to social media to complain and express their disappointment, especially those meant to attend the Beacon show. One tweet read, “Was literally about to walk out the door for the Pete Davidson show just to see it was canceled 2.5 hours before the show started….. rip this week is not going my way.”
More fans complained about the canceled shows that were scheduled for the coming weeks. One fan wrote, “Really really bummed about Pete Davidson canceling his show in Pittsburgh in January 2024 is an understatement. I hope he’s okay. We were so excited for it. I hope he comes again.”
Some fans of the “Bupkis” star made tweets supporting Davidson for putting himself first. One read, “i think instead of people belittling Pete Davidson for canceling his shows, you should shut the f— up and remember he’s an extremely traumatized individual who is a real human being and deserves to take care of himself however he feels necessary.”

Although neither Davidson nor his team has shared any reason for the cancellation, many fans stated that he might be taking the time for his personal health. The comedian and actor has severally spoken about his struggle with mental health and has previously been in rehab to seek professional help.
Earlier this year, Davidson had a show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Ettes Arena in Atlantic City, where he spoke about his most recent rehab stint. He said, “I am fresh out of rehab, everyone. I got that post-rehab glow. The seventh time’s the charm!”
During the show, Davidson revealed to the world that he’d gotten dependent on ketamine, a known dissociative anesthetic drug. He said he’d used the drug daily for over four years, which led to him finally checking into rehab in June. The actor called the drug “magical” and said it caused some interesting experiences, including getting “the Wiggles to mesh with Schindler’s List.”
Pete Davidson Is Working On A New Netflix Special

Amid the cancellation of his shows and recent exit from rehab, Davidson is also gearing up for the release of a new comedy special. The “Saturday Night Live” alum announced his new solo Netflix special, “Turbo Fonzarelli,” which premieres on January 9th, 2024, per Variety.
The new special will be Davidson’s second solo project with Netflix, the first being “Alive From New York,” which premiered in 2020. He also had a group show, “Pete Davidson: The Best Friends,” which featured other comedy and music stars. This includes Neko White, Joey Gay, Jordan Rock, Machine Gun Kelly, and Dave Sirus.
According to Netflix’s official release of “Turbo Fonzarelli, Davidson’s new special “delivers on what it means to grow up and turn 30, discussing love, life, and living in the woods.” The “Bodies Bodies Bodies” actor also executively produced the special with Alex Panagos, and Jason Orley serves as the director.
