Gabby Douglas gymnastics schedule: How to watch USA star’s events live at 2024 Winter Cup

A familiar face will be taking center stage at this year’s Winter Cup in Louisville.

Two-time Olympian and three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas returns to the floor for the first time in eight years this weekend, and she’s hoping to put on a show in the sport that she starred in for so much of her adolescence.

Douglas, 28, is one of U.S. Gymnastics’ most decorated talents. She’s got a closet filled to the brim with shimmery medallions.

Another one at the Winter Cup would prove perhaps more stunning than all the others combined. Few have competed at the age that Douglas is. Even fewer have won anything.

With that, here’s what you need to know to follow along with Douglas as she returns to prominence during the 2024 Winter Cup.

Gabby Douglas’ gymnastics schedule

Douglas’ events will be aired on Saturday, the day of the Senior Women’s competition. She’ll be joined by a host of twirling talents, including former Olympic champion Sunisa Lee.

The whole of the Winter Cup — which includes Senior’s Men and Junior’s Women competitions as well as Elite Cup and Nastia Liukin Cup — will be available to watch on USA Gymnastics’ YouTube channel.

Biles’ events will be televised over the course of the weekend. Her first day of competition Friday will be aired live on Peacock, then replayed Saturday on CNBC. The final day of the women’s competition on Sunday will be shown live on NBC.

What events will Gabby Douglas compete in at 2024 Winter Cup?

Douglas is set to compete on floor at the 2024 Winter Cup. It was perhaps Douglas’ weakest event during her prime. She only notched two silver medals and four bronze medals on the apparatus during her senior career, none of which came during the Olympics.

Still, it should be less draining on Douglas’ health. Uneven bars, vault, and balance beam can prove challenging for even the most limber of competitors. Douglas — a 28-year-old who hasn’t competed in nearly eight years — might be unable to exert such a physically-demanding regimen, even if she was one of the best all-around gymnasts in the world at her pomp.

This year’s Winter Cup won’t be aired on television. That’s no problem, though. Instead, all the action — including Douglas’ and Lee’s events — will be streamed live on U.S. Gymnastics’ official YouTube channel.
