After almost eight years behind bars, Gypsy Rose Blanchard is soaking up every moment of freedom she has received since being released yesterday. The 32-year-old shared a stunning photo of herself in front of a mirror to properly launch her official Instagram account.
Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years of prison due to her role in the murder of her mother Clauddine Dee Dee Blanchard. Fortunately for Gypsy, she was released early on parole. Her ex-boyfriend who helped her kill her mother is still behind bars serving out his life sentence.

There has been huge anticipation for the release of Gypsy across social media platforms, due to the heartbreaking story of physical and mental abuse she suffered from her mother which eventually culminated in the murder of Dee Dee Blanchard.
Gypsy was released early on December 28 on parole after being sentenced to 10 years in prison in July, 2016. She was picked up by her husband of one year, Ryan Scott Anderson, who reportedly came along with a camera crew.
Since regaining freedom, Gypsy has been spotted at multiple locations, with fans even sharing photos of her shopping for shoes.
However, she has taken things up a notch by making her first official social media post since being released. Gypsy shared a stunning and heartwarming mirror selfie with the caption, “First selfie of freedom!”
The post quickly went viral, racking up nearly 600,000 likes and 32,000 comments in under two hours.
