ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 warm-up matches: Fixtures, results, schedule for India, Australia, England, Pakistan and others

The 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup is set to take place from October 5 to November 19, when India will host the ICC’s showpiece event for the fourth time since the tournament’s inception.

Before that, though, all the teams taking part will play a number of warm-up matches to prepare.

Those games will be held from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3 in three cities across India. Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati will host the official warm-up games that will be open to the public.

The Asian countries competing will also have the chance for extra practice games through the 2023 Asia Cup that will be held from Aug.30 to Sept.17, while other nations — including England and Australia — will also play ODI series before the tournament to get some much-needed match sharpness.

Here’s our breakdown of the schedule of official warm-up matches.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Predictions, betting and who will win?

The hosts, India, look like the favourites to lift the trophy with the home crowd potentially playing an important role. Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, India will hope to bring the World Cup home after 12 years.

Defending champions England will want to keep the ODI World Cup trophy and reclaim their title, and with the return of Ben Stokes their team looks ready to fight.

Australia are on a hot winning streak right now. Under the able captaincy of Pat Cummins, the men from Down Under have managed to win the World Test Championship in 2023 and retained the Ashes too. It won’t be a surprise if they win the ODI World Cup to add to that haul.

Latest odds to win Cricket World Cup 2023, as of August 2023.
