Jana Kramer is getting ready for the release of her new book “The Next Chapter” and she’s opening up about fights with ex-husband Mike Caussin.
The 39-year-old country singer married the former football player in 2015 and then filed for divorce in April 2021. They share daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, 4.
Jana‘s new book follows the year in her life after ended her marriage to Mike.

On her podcast back in March 2021, Jana and Mike discussed a fight they had.
“The words are what have stayed with me and you don’t mean those but they are the worst things that stay with someone,” Jana said to Mike on their podcast back then. “I said mean things but you cut deep … I’m, like, high school mean.”
Mike replied, “You and I are different. You’ve said some mean words and mean things to me and I don’t hold onto those like you do but we’re different people and that’s OK. … It’s just me trying to force the upper hand or force respect, which is just a bad way to do it.”
In the book, Jana wrote about a fight they had in the laundry room just weeks after those comments were made.
The fight happened while Jana was recovering from a breast augmentation and she needed a specific bra to be washed in the laundry, which Mike offered to do. When the laundry wasn’t done quick enough, they got into a fight and Mike said, “I didn’t know you were such a f–king cripple.”
Us Weekly reports that Mike began throwing wet laundry at Jana and she fell after losing her balance.
“In true Ex fashion he said, ‘That didn’t hurt. Get the f–k up,’” Jana wrote in the book. It’s reported that she never mentioned Mike‘s name.
