In an interview with WCPO 9, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce expressed admiration for Taylor Swift. Discussing the attention Swift receives due to her relationship with his younger brother, Travis, Jason noted that it is due to the audience’s interest.
“The attention’s there because the audience wants to see it; I mean, if people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it, I know that,” he said. “She’s a world star; she’s the quintessential, you know, artist right now in the world.”
He highlighted that the “Out of the Woods” singer is “immensely talented” and an “unbelievable role model for young women across the globe.”
“I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to, you know, show her and … be a role model for all the young girls out there,” he added, per People magazine.

Swift being praised as a role model by Jason isn’t the first time he praised the pop superstar. The 36-year-old previously praised Swift on the “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast.
Referring to Swift as the “newest member” of the Kansas City Chiefs fan club, Jason humorously acknowledged: “Shout out to the newest members of the Chiefs Kingdom.” He added, “Taylor Swift, who has officially reached the Super Bowl in her rookie year.”
Travis joined in, thanking Swift for joining the team with a laugh, adding: “Shout out to Tay! Thanks for joining the team!”
In another episode of the podcast, Travis expressed his affection for his girlfriend, Swift, acknowledging her as a part of his family, days after his brother Jason echoed a similar sentiment. The brothers shared their thoughts while reviewing fan art depicting Jason’s exuberant celebration during the Chiefs vs. Bills playoff game.
In a bonus video from their podcast “New Heights,” Travis excitedly identified family members and Swift in the painting, stating: “Look, you got the whole fam.”
He went on to appreciate the detailed portrayal, including Swift’s signature heart hands gesture and her outfit for the game.
