Jolie Holland has introduced a brand new album, Haunted Mountain, which incorporates a number of cowrites with Large Thief’s Buck Meek, who can be releasing an album referred to as Haunted Mountain. That’s no coincidence: After including a verse to her track “Haunted Mountain”—which you’ll hear beneath—Meek instructed Holland he additionally wished to incorporate a model on his personal album. Says Holland, “I used to be extraordinarily happy on the weirdness.”
Meek went on to say, in Holland’s telling, that “he wished to call his report Haunted Mountain, ‘…provided that you’re not already naming your report Haunted Mountain.’ Nicely, that had been the title of my subsequent report for fairly some time. We considered it for a minute and determined it was weird and great. I’m enormously happy that Buck selected it as his album title too.”
Holland’s Haunted Mountain LP is out October 6, Meek’s on August 25.
