Leonardo DiCaprio shocks fans with one ‘Killer of the Flower Moon’ scene
Leonardo DiCaprio has a history of pushing the envelope, The Revenant, for example.
Following the line, in the latest Killers of the Flower Moon, cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto revealed that the Oscar winner got spanked by co-star Robert De Niro with a giant paddle in one scene, which, surprisingly, was not in the script.
In a chat with the Insider, the Academy winner said, “I don’t think that was in the first script,” noting, “That was something that was added, and it’s shocking in the film.”
Not to mention, the scene took multiple takes to complete. “I do remember doing them quite a few times and thinking,” he shared, “Oh, that must hurt,’.”
He continued, “There was some padding on his butt. But you could tell De Niro was really hitting him.”. Leo is game for so much,” adding, “He’ll do anything.”
In 2015’s The Revenant, Leo went to extreme lengths, from coping with the frozen conditions to eating raw bison liver. The riveting performance led him to win his first Academy Award.
