Ole Miss vs. Georgia live score, updates, highlights from Week 11 college football game

Could Ole Miss be the team to end Georgia’s winning streak at 26 games?

The Rebels visit the undefeated Bulldogs confident they can knock off one of the top teams in the nation. Lane Kiffin doesn’t feel the pressure an underdog would usually face when heading into Athens. He noted that when visiting Alabama earlier this season, his team took on the nerves he felt about the game.

Now, they’ve got nothing to lose, and Kiffin feels good about facing his former colleague for the first time. During Alabama’s 2015 national championship run, he was the offensive coordinator while Kirby Smart was the defensive coordinator.

The now-Ole Miss coach has other things to worry about, though. On Thursday, a recording of a conversation between him and player DeSanto Rollins was leaked. Rollins filed a lawsuit against Kiffin earlier this year for emotional distress and discrimination.

Additionally, the Rebels suffered a huge blow to their depth chart this week when linebacker Micah Pettis broke his foot during practice. It’s a significant loss without much time to fill in the gaps.

If anyone knows a thing or two about injuries, it’s the Bulldogs. Tight end Brock Bowers sustained a high ankle sprain in October’s game against Vanderbilt. Fortunately by that time, receiver Ladd McConkey had already made his season debut. He missed the first four games of the season due to a back injury.

It’s possible Bowers will return for his final game between the hedges, as he’s been practicing throughout the week.

With a win over the No. 9 team in the College Football Playoff rankings, No. 2 Georgia will clinch the SEC East for the fifth time in the past six years. The Rebels will be its toughest challenge of the season yet, as both teams are in the top 15 nationally when it comes to scoring.

The Bulldogs look to remain perfect as they hunt for a third straight national championship.

5:15 p.m. – The weather in Athens is anything but ideal for a top-10 matchup. It’ll be in the 40s with a chance of rainfall throughout the evening. But is that better for the Dawgs? Last time ESPN’s College Gameday was in town for a crucial SEC matchup, Georgia beat Tennessee on a rainy afternoon. Kirby Smart and his crew seem to only get better in rough weather.
