The PBA opened its 48th Season with the Commissioner’s Cup–instead of the Philippine Cup as the traditional season-opener–on November 5, 2023.

For this conference, PBA elimination games are held on Sundays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at three venues around Metro Manila–Smart Araneta Coliseum, Philsports Arena and Ynares Center Antipolo. There are no games scheduled at Mall of Asia Arena so far.

The PBA will go to Tiaong, Quezon; San Jose, Batangas and Iloilo City for out-of-town matches scheduled on three Saturdays this year.

The Christmas Day feature of the league on December 25 pits San Miguel against Phoenix and crowd-favorite Ginebra against TNT at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Games resume on January 5 after the holiday break.

Where to watch the PBA on TV, streaming

PBA has found a new home on the free television channel A2Z for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, doing away with the airing on TV5. Its games will now be aired on Channel 11 (analog) and Channel 20 (cable).

The move allowed the PBA to go back to its primetime time slot. Games are now at 4 pm and 8 pm every Wednesday and Friday, and 3 pm and 6:15 pm on weekends.

The previous two seasons have seen the league being aired at 3 pm and 5:45 pm on weekdays and 4:30pm and 6:30 pm.

TV5 is still in charge of the production.

The PBA games previously aired on TV5 and One Sports on free TV before the new deal, which was announced before the season started.
