Seahawks vs. Giants MNF odds, picks, predictions: Expert betting tips & more for Week 4 ‘Monday Night Football’

When the Seahawks face the Giants in New York to close Week 4 on “Monday Night Football” (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN/ABC), we’ll see a showdown of two of last year’s biggest surprise playoff teams that are hoping to stay on track in 2023.

The Seahawks rebounded from an upset loss in Week 1 to improve to 2-1. The Giants, at 1-2, were ripped in Weeks1 and 3 and were fortunate to escape with a comeback victory over the Cardinals in Week 2.

How will this tight matchup play out on MNF? Here’s a betting preview along with odds and a prediction for the game:

Spread: Seahawks +1 (-115) | Giants -1 (-105)
Over/Under: OVER 47.5 (-110) | UNDER 47.5 (-110)
Moneyline: Seahawks -110 | Giants -110

This is essentially a toss-up game that could easily be a pick ’em. The teams are evenly matched in a lot of areas with some injury issues piling up on both sides. The Seahawks are one of the better East Coast road teams in the league under Pete Carroll and have succeeded in New York in the past.

Should you bet the Giants against the spread?

The Giants haven’t looked great in getting destroyed by the Cowboys and 49ers. They are riddled with more injuries than Seattle overall (most notably Saquon Barkley, who figures to be “questionable), and the Seahawks can present matchup problems all over with Kenneth Walker’s running and DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett finding openings for Geno Smith. Seattle didn’t cover in Week 1 as favorites but came through big time in Detroit and vs. Carolina.

Our Pick: Seahawks +1 (-115)

Should you bet the Seahawks-Giants OVER?

The defenses have enough holes and the QBs are good enough to put up favorable numbers. The Seahawks should have plenty of success moving the ball through ground and air, while the Giants need to counter with a more aggressive running and passing Daniel Jones. The passing numbers should lead to the required scoring beyond the total.

Our Pick: OVER 47.5 (-110)

Should you bet the Seahawks on the moneyline?

Going with a one-point underdog is pretty much calling for a push or an outright victory. Take the latter and feel confident in Seattle coming through as the better overall team with the better coaching.

Our Pick: Seahawks (-110)

Final score prediction: Seahawks 27, Giants 24

Daniel Jones, QB, Giants — OVER 231.5 passing yards

The Seahawks have allowed a 300-yard passer in each of the first three games. Matthew Stafford went for 334, Jared Goff tossed for 323, and Andy Dalton just dropped 362. The Seahawks also have been stingy in not giving up many rushing yards, and that could again be the case with Saquon Barkley (ankle) ailing. Jones threw for 321 yards against the Cardinals and might need to do quite a bit of throwing opposite Geno Smith here. He should at least hit 250 yards with some good matchups for his receivers and tight end Darren Waller.
