The fourth Spongebob Squarepants movie has been pushed back by six months, joining other Paramount movies in a massive scheduling reshuffle. The film, titled The Spongebob Movie: Search for Squarepants, is set to be the fourth theatrically-released movie in the franchise. When it was first announced, the movie had set a release window for May 2025.
Now, Comicbook.com reports that the new animated movie has been pushed back to December 2025, just in time for the holidays. This push doesn’t seem like it will impact the previously-announced Spongebob Squarepants season 15. However, the film joins high-profile Paramount releases Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two and A Quiet Place: Day One in having its release delayed.
