NFL star Zach Ertz and retired USWNT player Julie Ertz recently went on a romantic date night, and fans cannot get enough of how adorable the couple is.
Zach and Julie first met in 2012 at a baseball game, and the two have been together ever since.
The couple tied the knot in California on March 26, 2017 after being engaged for just over one year.
Throughout their relationship, they have experienced several milestones within their careers, as Julie and the United States Women’s National Team won the World Cup in 2015 and Zach and the Philadelphia Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl in 2018.
The two now share a son, Madden Matthew Ertz, who was born in August of 2022.
“Beyond grateful to be your Dad. @julieertz and I can’t even put into words how blessed we are to be your parents,” the former Arizona Cardinal wrote on social media at the time of announcing the birth of his newborn son.
With the two now being parents, it is hard for them to find some time to themselves, but just recently, they were able to squeeze in a romantic date night, which had fans gushing over the sports stars.

The now-retired soccer player took to social media to share a photo dump of her and her husband’s romantic date night at PYRO, which is located in Phoenix, Arizona.
The high-class restaurant serves Japanese-American food and is highly spoken of, receiving a nearly 5-star rating on Google and OpenTable.
In the first photo shared to Instagram, Julie can be seen in a black and white selfie, which had fans flooding the comments section to comment on how “gorgeous” she looked.
“Always looking great,” one of her fans commented as another expressed, “Zach is one lucky guy.”
The second photo showed the inside of PYRO, which gives off a beautiful and romantic ambiance — the restaurant even has an open-fire cooking suite! According to the official website, “chefs manipulate fire to create an array of signature dishes, whether smoked, grilled, seared, or roasted.”
Julie Ertz Promotes Healthy Eating
Although she had to keep her body in shape while on the USWNT, she continues to take care of her body after retiring, while also splurging from time to time.
“On top of physical and mental [preparation] I always like to talk about nutrition,” Ertz told Business Insider in 2019 while she was still on the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. “I’m training all day, so whether or not it’s a double day, it’s about finding the healthiest thing for me so I feel the most prepared.”
Although she typically has a bowl of oatmeal and nuts for breakfast, she and her husband tend to splurge — and their go-to? Chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, and bacon!
Julie Ertz is now retired from playing professional soccer, but Zach Ertz continues to play football in the NFL. He is currently a free agent.
