When speaking to MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Sydney Sweeney said she is getting ready to start filming the third season of ‘Euphoria’.

“So you’re going to take a little time off after all this madness?” Horowitz asked Sweeney, referring to her recent rise to fame with ‘Anyone But You’, ‘Saturday Night Live’, and ‘Madame Webb’. However, her busy schedule isn’t ending any time soon as she told Horowitz, “I go into ‘Euphoria’.”

After two years, Sweeney says she is ready to get back to filming. “I always feel like I go home,” she said of returning to the show. “It’s like home when I go back to it. I like it.”

Sydney Sweeney Reflects On The Late Angus Cloud

Angus Cloud passed away last summer from an accidental overdose. Fentanyl, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and methamphetamine were found in his system.

Following the death of co-star Angus Cloud, Sydney Sweeney opened up about the loss, telling Glamour, “[My costars and I] were constantly on the phone with each other crying.”

On how his death will affect the third season, Sweeney says, “I don’t think it’ll truly feel real or hit me until we’re filming and I won’t see Angus on set.”

“When we are filming, all of our eyes are on each other and we’re there for each other, just in a different way than we’re able to when we’re all in very separate places in the world,” she continued, “It’s really interesting when someone passes away in our industry, because they’re still alive in so many forms.”

Angus Cloud’s family first broke the news of his passing by saying, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to us in so many ways. Last week, he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss.”

The message continued, “The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope his passing can remind others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy now as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

How Will ‘Euphoria’ Move On Without Angus Cloud?

Fans have been questioning how season 3 will play out, especially since season 2 ended with Ashtray (Javon Walton) being gunned down in his home by police and with Fez (Angus Cloud) being shot.

While Sydney Sweeney did not give many details surrounding the script, 54-year-old Colman Domingo recently opened up, claiming “What I know is that we will have a season three. It will be challenging in the most beautiful way.”

Adding, “I always think that Kelly Coffey-Behrens Sam [Levinson] is examining hope and faith, especially when it comes to people who are struggling and trying to find their way. I know Sam Levinson and his heart, and I know he’s one of the kindest human beings that I know.”

A release date for season 3 of ‘Euphoria’ is yet to be announced.
