In a new TikTok video, Holmes reflected on his “upended” broadcast journalism career and shared that he is embracing a positive perspective.

In the clip, the 46-year-old said, “I am a podcaster, a partner, and a longtime broadcast journalist, and it’s the 25-plus year career in broadcast journalism that was upended about a year ago when some aspects of my personal life, including who I’m dating, became tabloid fodder.”

Describing the period as a “year of hell,” he revealed that the scandal forced him into a social media hiatus. However, the former “GMA3” co-anchor now sees the period as one of the best blessings.

“I guess going through it, I would’ve called it the worst year of my life,” he explained, “but now, as I sit here before you some perspective, it was the best year of my life and one of the best blessings of my life.”

On the other hand, Robach, who also recently joined TikTok, launched her first video, aiming to introduce herself to those unfamiliar with her, especially those who only know her from her “former career in television.”

The former “GMA3” co-anchor admitted that while she finds the process “effortless,” there has been a “price to pay” for her love life.

“I have chosen love in my life, and I’m very excited about that path,” the former anchorwoman said. “I’m living my truth. There has been a price to pay, but I’m excited about the future.”

Determined to “take back [her] narrative,” Robach plans to reveal the “real” her, stepping away from the scandal that led to her and Holmes’ firing from ABC and the loss of her “worldly possessions.”

Alongside their new TikTok ventures, Holmes and Robach ventured into podcasting, delving into the complexities of their relationship, which involves merging their blended families.

Addressing the challenges of blending families with divorces and children, Holmes explained: “When you have a new relationship, there are divorces, there are kids involved.”

“You’re always trying to find the right balance between your kids and your partner and bringing everybody together,” he added.

However, despite the “effortless” integration of their families, stress took a toll, leading the couple to candidly share their experience with alcohol consumption, especially during a period of unemployment.

“I didn’t have a job to go to, and I was away from a lot of friends and family. We were laying low. So what did I do? I drank a lot,” Robach confessed. “A lot more than I ever have. I don’t think I have ever gone a full year where I drink every single day, and that was 2023 for me.”

Holmes also admitted that he would “easily go through 18 drinks a day,” sparking concerns from Robach. The duo also shared a breakdown of their alcohol purchases for a month, and the money they spent amounted to a stunning $2,869.
