Taylor Swift Recruits LP Giobbi for Official Remix of "Cruel Summer": Listen

If Taylor Swift’s name was currency, we’d all be millionaires.

With Swiftie raves popping up all over the world and a historic tour that seems to shatter a new record every day, her name is inescapable these days. But who’s complaining?

Surely not LP Giobbi, who has been recruited to produce an official remix of “Cruel Summer,” which is out now. Released back in 2019 on Swift’s Lover album, the angsty synth-pop track has experienced quite the resurrection this year after its splashy placement atop the setlist for her barnstorming “Eras Tour.”

It’s a particularly big moment for Giobbi, whose rise through the dance music ranks can only be described as—well—swift. The spunky Femme House founder, who was named Best Music Executive on EDM.com’s “Best of 2021: Industry Leaders” list, has established herself as one of the scene’s leading house music producers and live performers in short order.

The pop icon’s foray into the electronic music space is a compelling one. Giobbi’s bubbly rework of “Cruel Summer” follows ILLENIUM’s official remix of “Anti-Hero,” which Swift released late last year.

The new track appears in a three-part release called The Cruelest Summer, which includes a live version of the fan-favorite taken from Swift’s new “Eras Tour” film. The movie version of the stadium tour instantly became one of highest-grossing concert films of all-time after raking in a staggering $92.8 million in ticket sales, per Bloomberg.
