The new trend comes just a few days after Gypsy Rose was released from prison after pleading guilty to the second-degree murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She served seven years of her 10-year sentence — which was 85%, making her eligible for parole.

The 32-year-old was released on parole after serving seven of her ten-year sentence in prison for her involvement of the murder of her mom, whom her then-boyfriend stabbed to death.
Although she pled guilty, many claim that Gypsy was also a victim of her mother, whom investigators state had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a psychological disorder where a “caretaker of a child, most often a mother, either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it look like the child is sick,” according to Medline Plus.
