Brighton vs Spurs lineups

Roberto De Zerbi is hoping to put an end to his side’s three-game winless streak in the league but will have to do so without his star forward Kaoru Mitoma. Brighton lost their tricky Japanese wide man after a  blow to the ankle during their derby clash with Crystal Palace and he was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.

Facundo Buonanotte could step up to the challenge. Brighton are expected to be without the following first-team stars due to various injuries: Solly March, Pervis Estupinan, Julio Enciso, Joel Veltman, Ansu Fati, Tariq Lamptey and Adam Webster.

Projected Brighton lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Verbruggen (GK) — Hinshelwood, Van Hecke, Dunk, Igor — Baleba, Gilmour — Adingra, Gross, Buonanotte — Ferguson.

Ange Postecoglou will be without Cristian Romero for up to five weeks. The Australian manager revealed in his press conference the defender picked up a hamstring strain during his side’s 2-1 win over Everton. Spurs are now missing eight first-team players, including James Maddison and Mickey van de Ven.

Yves Bissouma is unavailable due to suspension and will miss out on a return to the Amex.
