In an intro video shared on Valentine’s Day on TikTok, she explained how her series will go. She said she will do her story in parts and start from when they met and go through until she got her divorce decree.

“I feel like this video is important to give some context, so that way when people jump into the series, they kinda can figure out, oh, let me start it, the introduction video and then work my way through,” she said. “Everything I’m gonna tell you can be verified. There are people in my life who can easily verify, yes, this did happen, yes he really did do that, yes, he said that, yes she did go through that.”

Reesa explained that she has zero contact with her ex-husband now and they don’t have any mutual friends. She concluded her introduction/disclaimer video that she’s just a “regular woman who thought she met the one and I didn’t.”

Reesa, sitting in her car, started to tell her story in a video captioned, “Who TF Did I Marry- Part One.”

Reesa met Legion around March 4, 2020 on Facebook dating and also matched with him on Hinge, another dating app.

“I did not realize that he was on both under two different names. So one was his actual name, and the other one was a variation, like a nickname that he called himself,” she said. “Different pictures. So it was a running joke between us, oh you didn’t even recognize that you had matched with me on Hinge. No, I didn’t.”

She said that should have been a red flag and that she calls it the “United Nations of red flags” because there were so many red flags that “you would have thought I was color blind cause I ignored all of them.”

We won’t spoil any more of the story so you can follow along in order on her TikTok page. She shared the final part, part 50, a few days ago so people can now binge watch it from beginning to end like a Netflix series. Note, if you plan to binge watch the series, it’s going to take about five hours, so pop your popcorn and get your wine ready before diving in!

According to NBC News, the Atlanta-based content creator has received a lot of positive feedback from sharing her story.

“I already knew this story was not going to always make me look good at all,” she told NBC News. “But I also felt like the story was bigger than me in a way. In other words, it was worth some embarrassment. But it was cathartic and it was also very emotional, and very hard at times.”

Reesa said she created the series to help other people who have gone through a similar situation.

“Whether you agree with me and my decisions or not, I wanted it to create conversation about the things that we ignore because we want what we want or we’re in a hurry,” she said.

She also said it’s been an ongoing process to heal, and she finds it hard to trust people now after making “dumb decisions.”

“I’ve started giving myself grace as I’m reading messages from other women who’ve gone through the same thing,” she said. “Because for the longest time after the story was released, it did feel like I was the only one who fell for this.”
